- No chocolate, raisins, or sugar-free candy and gum. All three are poisonous to dogs, and xylitol in sugar-free sweets can be deadly.
- Wrappers in a closed bin. A swallowed wrapper can block a dog's gut.
- A costume only if your dog stays calm in it. Always supervised, nothing over the eyes, nose or mouth, and nothing tight or chewable.
- A quiet room on the big night. Keep your dog away from the front door and the doorbell.
- ID tag on, microchip details up to date. An open front door is an open chance.
- Candles and lit pumpkins out of reach. Noses and tails find them.

First-day checklist
Wags Pet Resort · new guests
- Vaccinations up to date. Rabies, Bordetella, and DAPP/DHPP.
- Given at least 48 hours before the visit. Seven to fourteen days ahead is best. If a puppy is too young for one of them, we follow your vet's advice.
- Records in hand. Your vet will usually send them as a PDF. Upload them in the booking portal or email the location.
- A booking. Daycare, boarding and baths book in the portal. Training is by appointment.
